Amy joined Mustard in 2014 after returning from a three-year spell in Australia where she first developed a passion for market research.

 

She previously ran her own UK based clothing retail business and over-saw the management of two Sydney based clothing outlets, incorporating buying, marketing, PR and sales analysis.

 

Having provided support to a Sydney based research agency, Amy now uses her retail experience to add real world commerciality to our clients.

Anthony Shephard-Williams

Anthony Shephard-Williams

Associate Director

Anthony has almost ten years’ experience in the research industry and joined Mustard in 2010.

 

Passionate about using online methods for qualitative purposes, he has driven our online community proposition through the development of a bespoke platform and a specific focus on the member experience and building closer relationships.

 

Anthony’s skills also extend to more traditional quantitative and qualitative methods, and he is also responsible for our ISO 20252 quality management strategy.

Bethan Turner

Bethan Turner

Research Manager

Bethan joined us in 2012 and is responsible for our in-house statistical analysis function.

 

As a qualified statistician, she has used this background to develop segmentations, identify key drivers and determine priorities on behalf of a broad range of clients.

 

Bethan’s skills extend beyond the numbers having also managed a wide range of qualitative projects in both the private and public sector. She has also been invaluable in helping drive our digital and social media strategy and delivery.

Bronagh Lavery

Bronagh Lavery

Senior Research Executive

Bronagh has two years’ experience in the research industry, and joined Mustard in 2015.

 

Already a multi-faceted researcher, her skills range from the day-to-day management of large quantitative studies, to the moderation of pop-up online communities, through to communicating key messages in a clear and creative way.

 

Bronagh graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2013 with a BSc in Psychology, and began her research career at Vision One Research.

Colin Auton

Colin Auton

Managing Director

Colin joined us in 1992, and aside from a two year stint client-side within the Bank of Scotland Group, has been with us ever since. He took over as our managing director in 2010.

He works at a senior level with major brands across a broad range of sectors to turn insights into strategic actions, with particular expertise in customer satisfaction and brand measurement.

Colin is MBA qualified with a Postgraduate degree in Marketing, a full member of the Market Research Society and CIM Chartered Marketer.

Dave Darby

Dave Darby

Senior Data Executive

Dave has almost 20 years’ experience of operations roles within the research industry, and has been with Mustard since 2012.

 

He is the lead on all aspects of the business related to data management and delivery. This includes the design and scripting of online and CATI surveys, building interactive client portals and the production of data tables and outputs using our Confirmit platform.

 

Dave has previously worked in similar roles for Zebra Square, Dipsticks Research and Dialogue Research.

Francis Walsh

Francis Walsh

Company Accountant

Francis has nearly 40 years’ experience as an accountant and joined Mustard in 2011.

 

In that time, he has worked for a broad range of Chartered Accountants across the North West, working with clients with turnovers in the small thousands up to £30 million.

 

Francis arguably has the most important job of all, ensuring that our clients pay us, and we pay our suppliers and staff!

Gareth Hodgson

Gareth Hodgson

Director

Gareth started his career with us in 2000, and following client-side roles with Iceland, Everton Football Club and Shop Direct Group, returned to Mustard in 2008.

 

He became a director in 2014 with responsibility for our people strategy, and is passionate about ensuring that Mustard is a great place to work.

 

Gareth has strong experience in the retail, leisure, building / construction and financial services sectors and draws upon his client-side experience to bring commercial context to research findings.

Hannah Barnsley

Hannah Barnsley

Research Executive

Hannah joined us in 2016 with a passion to develop a career in market research. 

Marrying her academic research experience with skills developed in a previous performance evaluation management role with NHS England, Hannah provides support on qualitative and quantitative projects, while also working alongside the marketing and business development team to co-ordinate campaigns and content.

 

Hannah has an MSc in Psychological  Research from Nottingham Trent University.

Ian is the one constant at Mustard, having co-founded the business in 1989 as Customer Insight Ltd.

 

Since then, he has delivered his expertise to help a vast range of global clients shape the way they run their businesses, building a reputation as a leading authority in customer satisfaction and service quality benchmarking research, particularly in the industrial and distribution sectors.

 

 

Over a quarter of a century since starting the business, Ian remains as passionate as ever about driving the continuous growth of Mustard.

Irina Dimitriade

Irina Dimitriade

Senior Research Executive

Irina joined us in 2016, bringing rounded qualitative and quantitative experience to the team.

 

Her background covers a range of consumer, B2B and social sectors, developed through her agency experience, a previous role with Trinity College Dublin and multiple published articles. Irina’s passion lies in using a range of methods to document and communicate people’s stories and experiences

 

Irina has an MSc. in Sociology (Distinction) from the University of Amsterdam.

Jack Melton Bradley

Jack Melton Bradley

Research Manager

Jack has over three years’ experience in the research industry, and joined Mustard in 2015.

 

He was previously a Senior Account Manager for a consultancy specialising in out-of-home and the on trade sector, where he developed a strong commercial understanding working closely with brand and category managers.

 

Jack uses this experience to bring a sales and revenue orientated context to his clients, with a focus on translating insights into tangible opportunities.

Jo Iaconianni

Client Development Executive

Jo has been with Mustard since 2011 and has almost 20 years’ experience in business development roles within the research industry.

 

She is responsible for a broad range of activities to support our growth including, building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients, co-ordinating marketing campaigns, liaising with our creative partners, representing Mustard at industry events and managing our database.

 

Jo previously worked in a similar role for Harris Interactive.

Laura joined Mustard in 2016 bringing strong media and client-side experience to the team.

She started her research career in 2007 with IPC Media, before moving on to roles with UKTV, Channel 4, Guardian News and Media (where she was part of the MRS Award winning Best In-House research team) and latterly BBC Worldwide.

Laura brings a passion and expertise for uncovering market, consumer and cultural trends and insights and using them to drive innovation that makes a difference in people's lives.

Richard has over 20 years agency experience and joined Mustard as a director in 2008 with responsibility for our brand and marketing.

 

He is passionate about using innovative and creative methods to make a difference for our clients, specialising in customer and market segmentations, new product development and behavioural research.

 

 

Previously a board director at Nunwood where he established a film production division, Richard is a specialist in the effective dissemination of insights to drive strategic decision making.

Ryan Sherratt

Data Assistant

Ryan joined Mustard in 2016 to provide data support to the research team.

He is currently completing an Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web & Telecoms in order to become qualified as a Level 3 IT Business Analyst.

 

Ryan plays a key role in the effective delivery of our quantitative projects through scripting and testing online and CATI surveys, verifying data outputs and the production of data tables using our Confirmit platform.

Victoria Bennett

Victoria Bennett

Victoria has been working in market research for six years in both agency and client-side roles.

Having started her career as part of the GfK graduate scheme, she moved on to client-side positions at Three and the Financial Times, before bringing her broad quantitative and qualitative experience to Mustard in 2015.

Victoria has extensive experience in the technology, media, financial services and FMCG industries, and draws upon her commercial knowledge to deliver tangible insights to our clients.
