Understanding what works is critical in shaping how services are delivered. As a minimum, evaluation studies can be seen as a standard part of the contracting process in order to meet the requirements of funding agencies. Their real worth, however, lies in developing a detailed knowledge of best practice.
We have undertaken a range of evaluation studies focused on informing future planning and delivery, alongside meeting statutory requirements to provide evidence of outputs and outcomes. Using our expertise and understanding of the ‘customer’s’ experience in a range of contexts, coupled with our expert policy knowledge, we are able to offer comprehensive evaluation programmes that add significant value.
These have included evaluating innovation within the 14-19 curriculum, impact assessments of programmes focused on reducing offending, assessment of the regional economic impact of a digital media skills support programme, evaluation of the effectiveness of Fair Shares Lottery programmes, impact and legacy of a Market Towns Initiative programme, effectiveness of interventions to engage young people not in education, employment or training (NEET), etc.
We also have extensive experience of delivering Childcare Sufficiency Assessments and Childcare Research for local authorities across UK, including Bedfordshire County Council, Hertfordshire County Council, London Borough of Hounslow, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Medway Council, Peterborough City Council and Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
