That winning feeling

Mustard were double winners at last week’s Federation of Small Business Awards at the Hilton in Manchester.

The first award was for CREATIVE & MEDIA BUSINESS OF THE YEAR, and we were on a strong shortlist that also included Avant PR, Christian Michaels Digital Marketing Agency, EKO 4 Global Services, Grizzly Bear Design, Making You Content and Our Marketing Guys.

That feeling when they read your name out remains one of the biggest buzzes.

And we were still on cloud 9 when it came to the shortlist for the accolade of BUSINESS OF THE YEAR (10-50 EMPLOYEES). The shortlist of businesses was much more diverse given that this award was across sectors, and included successful businesses from construction, financial services, debt collection, training and security – as well as other brand and marketing agencies.

And we won again…

To be recognised as the best business of its size in the region is a proud and significant moment in the history of Mustard.

It is testament to the dedication, hard work and passion shown by all members of the team over the past few years. We are also grateful to our clients, who supplied us with amazing testimonials for the award submissions, and have been trusting of a smaller business like ours with the strategic research needs rather than defaulting to one of the bigger agencies.

Also, congratulations to all of the other deserving award winners, and our thanks to the FSB and the event organisers for what would have been a very enjoyable evening regardless of the result!

A special shout-out to our fellow Table 5 team members – Impregnation Services – who introduced themselves with the classic line “it’s not what you think”. Their business is porosity sealing, specialising in the impregnation of castings and other ferrous and non-ferrous materials. They were also crowned MANUFACTURING & ENGINEERING BUSINESS OF THE YEAR.
